Academic Director of César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland

Tanja Florenthal is the Academic Director of Cesar Ritz Colleges, Bouveret. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation and enjoys sharing her knowledge with students. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, an MBA, and a Master of Arts in Higher Education and she is currently pursuing her doctorate.

Max Behesht

Academic Dean, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, Lucerne campus

In addition to his current role with César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, members of Swiss Education Group SEG, R. Max Behesht is also a Hospitality, Employee Engagement, Customer Experience (Service), and Leadership professional, and the founder of R.M.B. Group, a boutique training and consulting firm. His newly developed excellence concept, The Servicizer™ Mindset serves as a cultural add-on, driving excellence among individual employees across entire organizations. He is also a multilingual keynote speaker, lecturer, and storyteller, having previously held multiple international finance, service, and commercial roles with the science company DuPont.

He started his career heading operations at STS Language Schools in Malta, and Bournemouth, UK, and is a keen student of service excellence across industries and countries, relocating 25 times in the past 20 years. He has undergone Business Administration studies at The School of Business, Economics and Law, Gothenburg University, Sweden, European Business School, EBS, Germany, and The Graduate School of Business Administration in Kobe University, Japan.

Ruth Knoepfel

Internship, Career Manager for César Ritz Colleges and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland

Ruth Knoepfel has been passionately involved in the F and B and Hotel industries for over 40 years and is dedicated to helping our students, graduates and alumni succeed in their chosen careers. Having worn many specialist hats prior to holding multiple positions within César Ritz, but also at DCT as Director of Non-Academic services, she also has managed multi-complex restaurants, night clubs and bars. Ruth Knoepfel enjoys teaching and coaching the next generation and stays actively in touch with the industry by maintaining close relationships with leaders across hotels and also accompanying and acting as a Chef de Service with students in their outside catering experiences.

Sylvana Navarro

Hospitality Assistant Dean for the Bouveret Cesar Ritz Campus

Sylvana Navarro is our recently appointed Hospitality Assistant Dean for the Bouveret Cesar Ritz Campus. Before joining César Ritz, she spent more than 20 years within the hospitality industry in various capacities including Operations, Sales and Human Resources. Her professional background comes mainly from working for big hotel groups such as Four Seasons, Starwood and Hilton. In her previous role, she was in charge of the Events Department with Mövenpick, a major Swiss Hospitality brand. She is in charge of developing the César Ritz Hospitality program with the latest trends of the industry through innovation and entrepreneurship. She currently holds an MBA with emphasis in Global Management and is working towards her Master’s in Education from the University of derby.

Truc Hoang Lam Ngo (Lucia)

Originally from Vietnam, Lucia is in her second year of studies at César Ritz Colleges. She will give you an insight into Student Life on Le Bouveret campus and tell you more about her first internship experience in Switzerland.
