Student LifeFrom Brig to Bosnia: César Ritz Colleges donates classroom furniture

Brig campus donates used classroom furniture to elementary school in Rainci Gornji, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The refurbished classroom materials are now serving and supporting more than 100 children in their education.

Students, staff and faculty financed the transport of the goods by raising funds in support of the Bosnian school. In collaboration with the Red Cross Foundation, the furniture was sent and delivered in February 2017. Inspired by this donation, the César Ritz Colleges team are determined to continue helping the elementary school.

The relationship between Brig and Bosnia extends many years back to when refugee children were housed and schooled in this region of Switzerland during the Yugoslavian war. The children returned home as adults and a strong bond between families and teachers remain.
