Quality assurance

Shared governance

The shared governance system at César Ritz Colleges Switzerland allows internal and external stakeholders to engage with the school community on decisions related to the overall quality and to ensure continuous and rigorous improvement. It is essential to César Ritz Colleges Switzerland that our community (alumni, partners, students, faculty, and staff) are represented in the decisions that impact all aspects of our community.

In order to provide a mechanism whereby the institution is provided with independent advice, the Supervisory Committee delegates governance to the Academic and Operations Boards.  The Academic Board has responsibilities to ensure academic quality and integrity of the institution’s educational content, including responsibility for academic policy, academic administration, and the oversight of the educational process to ensure educational outcomes have been achieved.

Academic Board

The Academic Board convenes various sub-committees to implement initiatives such as:

  • A Learning and Teaching Committee for implementing quality assurance processes for learning and teaching within the institution in order to ensure that day-to-day academic operations meet quality educational standards
  • A Quality Audit Committee to monitor, assess and review Quality Assurance Framework, internal audit schedule, and academic quality aspects of the risk management plan
  • An Admissions Committee to endorse standard applications and to review on a case-by-case basis sur dossier candidates who may not fully satisfy admissions requirements
Operations Board

The Operations Board has a responsibility to ensure an inclusive, safe and structured learning environment for our students and staff. It is imperative that our students and staff have a voice in all matters related to the health and safety of the school. The Operations Board convenes the following subcommittees:

An Appeals Committee to provide students with a formal process to appeal any disciplinary action taken by the operations staff.  A Work, Health and Safety Committee to provide a safe campus environment and for the general wellbeing of our citizens. This includes the active promotion of active co-curricular programs. A Diversity and Inclusion Committee to maintain a welcome environment and to ensure a diverse and representative staff.

Governance structure and Reporting Liner

César Ritz Colleges Switzerland has established a Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) to guide the implementation of quality measures across the entire operational and academic enterprise. Quality is a core priority of the college, and we strive to continuously improve through formal planning, policies, attitudes, actions, and procedures.
